Who Is Crossville, Inc.? Located in Crossville, Tennessee, at the foothills of the Cumberland Plateau, Crossville, Inc. began manufacturing porcelain stone at its newly constructed plant in August 1986. Today, Crossville, Inc., is the largest domestic manufacturer of porcelain stone, and operates the first U.S. tile plant designed to manufacture large-unit porcelain tiles. Planned and equipped to be state-of-the-art facilities, Crossville's plants manufacture tiles ranging in size from 3" x 3" to 18" x 18".

Inspired by the city's distinctive neighborhoods and cultural activities intertwined with Buenos Aires mystique, Crossville developed the line's five contemporary colors: Polo, a creamy white on white with a hint of beige and grey veining; La Boca, a warm true camel; Pampa, a sumptuous blending of grey and beige; Recoleta, a chocolate hue accented with taupe and ivory; and Tango, a dramatic presentation of gold and red against a field of midnight black.Although each color is distint, they were not created solely to stand alone, but to be used in combination with each other. In the tradition of architects from Frank Lloyd Wright to Alvar
Aalto, Robert A.M. Stern's design vision from the beginning has
included not only building, but furnishings for interior spaces. For
more than 20 years, his firm has been involved in product design,
looking to historical tradition and technological innovation for
inspiration. More recently, Robert A.M. Stern Design has collaborated
with respected manufactures in the architectural and interior
furnishings industry to create a comprehensive design collection of
complementary products: carpeting by Bentley Prince Street, furniture
by David Edward, wall covering by Innovations, and now Porcelain Stone®
tile by Crossville, Inc.Ceramic and porcelain tile have been used to embellish and decorate
buildings since ancient times. Two new designs for the Buiiding Blox
series acknowledge this longstanding tradition. Urban Fabric pays
homage to the time-honored patterns and designs and is an updated
architectural favorite. Its clear, sharp graphics and vivid lines are a
natural for today's interiors, with just a touch of retro flair. Greek
Key is inspired by architectural decorative details and mosaic floor
patterns typical of the classical tradition, yet at the same time
crisp, clean and contemporary.The third tile pattern in the collection, City Garden, starts with
a traditional motif reminiscent of 19th-century wall covering, overlays
it with a grid, then jumbles and rotates the squares to create a
pattern that is organic and floral, yet also geometric and contemporary.

Crossville Classic Mosaics
Crossville produces both of these products with the Cross-Sheen®
finish. They exceed current ADA guidelines and deliver a wet static
coefficient of friction equal to or greater than 0.6 on the surface of
the tile. Their small 3"x3" size ensures frequent grout joints and
provides traction and drainage.Crossville cannot control situations involving incorrect
installation, improper slope to the drain for elimination of standing
water and poor surface cleaning.This information is provided so that customers may make a realistic
and informed decision when comparing Classic Mosaics and Color Blox
Mosaics to other tile products in wet area environments, such as
residential / commercial bathrooms, showers and interior pool decks.
